Where Are We?

Our farm sits in the heart of Middle Tennessee. Surrounded by rolling hills, rivers, and greenery as far as the eye can see, we are lucky to enjoy scenic views and Southern charm all around.

Farm Vision

Our goal is to make Trippy Acres a healthy environment for growing the best produce we can using organic, regenerative approaches. Our farm is one of the little guys. We work the soil by hand and strive to improve our land through no-till practices and natural soil building methods like cover cropping and deep mulching.

Chemical-Free Farming

Pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers are short-term fixes and sure make it easier to grow “perfect” vegetables, but they are not healthy for us, local wildlife, or the long-term health of the soil. That’s not how we roll. Here at Trippy Acres we battle the weeds and the bugs by hand. Sometimes they win. Over time, as we improve the soil and also encourage natural insect predators, plants will become strong enough to help fight off the ongoing assault (we hope). In some ways, it really is a war in the garden!

Picture-Perfect Produce?

Well, that would be nice, but the reality is our produce isn’t always picture-perfect. We co-exist with insects and other critters and sometimes they take their share. It’s a worthy trade-off to keep nasty chemicals off of our produce. Vegetables should be full of vitamins and minerals…not toxins!

Pollinator Habitat Creation with Native Plants

Our garden won’t thrive without plenty of help. Pollinators are critical to the growing process, so we are working to make Trippy Acres an inviting place for the birds and the bees! Native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees provide food, shade, and habitat to keep our garden workers content.

Just Keep Growing

It is not an easy way to farm, but it sure is rewarding, so every day we embrace our motto to “Just Keep Growing.”
